here's the scenerio:

say you made an rpg char, w/mo to be exact. total possible skills to unlock is 150. how many skills can you get for free (free meaning you don't need skill points)? how many skill points can you get for leveling and beating the missions? how many skill points would you have to grind to get unlock the remaining skills?

If anyone can anwser this it might end some big debates.

We don't yet know how many skills will be available as quest rewards. Rest assured that when we do, we'll have a section of the site devoted to it.

There are around 7 warrior skills you can unlock in preseared Ascalon and 6 or 7 monk skills, depending on whether you are a primary monk or not.

Warrior skills: Counter Blow, Sever Artery, Gash, Executioner's Strike, some other axe skill, Frenzy, Healing Signet

Monk Skills: Healing Breeze (primary only), Orison of Healing, Reversal of Fortune, Shielding Hands, Retribution, Bane Signet, Symbol of Wrath

i'm just concerned that there might be a fair bit of grind to get the skill points needed to unlock 150 skills.

there's about 25 missions upon release right? and 25 bonus quest per mission, so 50 skill points there? and another 20 skill point per level?

so if you get 7 free, it's 7 + 25 + 25 + 20 or 77 skills. So once ascended, you still need to lvl 20 grind for the remaining 73? Then you rinse and repeat for the remaining four classes? I'm seeing a lot of grind here.

a W/Mo would Leave pre searing with 14 skills (Frenzy Stance,Healing Signet, Server Artery, Gash,Hammer Bash,Executioner's Strike, Cyclone Axe, Bane Signet, Orison of Healing, Reversal of Fortune, Shielding Hands, Retribution,Symbol of Wrath, Resurrection Signet)
add to that 1 from devona
20 for leveling (could be more with grinding)
25 from missions
8 for each profession (guess) from all the warrior and Monk Npcs in Piken Sqaure, Serentiy temple, Yaks Bend, Old Ascalon, Sardelc Sanitarium.

that gets us to 76

They will probablay add more NPCs taht give out skills so maybe it will be higher

lol err.. anyhow I heard something that when you gain a certain amount of xp even after level 20 you gain skill points correct? Or was it only refund points?

you gain both skill points and refund points. refund points were quite easy to get for some reason.

Refund points come every 250XP is what I heard. Yes, that is very frequent. They want you to be able to change your attributes easily so you're never stuck with bad mistakes.
